Digital Product Manager
MyWärtsilä (and Wärtsilä Online) customer platforms are Wärtsilä's digital interfaces with our customers.
We are now looking for a Digital Product Manager to lead our MyWärtsilä development and support teams, to ensure excellent customer experience in our growing digital channel.
The preferred location for this permanent position is Helsinki, Finland, but other Wärtsilä locations in Finland, UK, the Netherlands and Italy can also be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Lead MyWärtsilä platform strategy & roadmap
- Define and deliver the roadmap for our MyWärtsilä digital platform in alignment with Wärtsilä’s growth goals
- Introduce innovative product enhancements that grow the usage of MyWärtsilä and increase its value proposition towards customers
- Partner with Business Development and Analytics function to prioritize initiatives that maximize revenue and customer impact
- Understand complex customer needs across Marine and Energy, both transactional and agreement customers, then work with stakeholders across both sectors to ensure we deliver an aligned digital experience that brings benefits both externally and internally.
- Lead the product development team and be responsible for backlog prioritization.
- Ensure a high level of customer success and retention.
- Alongside the product team responsibility, you will directly manage a team of 4-5 solution experts and product designer(s), who support the development in delivering a great customer experience.
This will enable you to succeed in this role:
- Proven experience in product ownership, strong skills in prioritizing epics, backlog items, and preparing content for increment planning.
- Understanding of agile execution and the role of product management in defining PBIs, acceptance criteria, and requirements for new releases.
- Ability to develop commercial business cases, evaluate product opportunities, and make data‑driven decisions on investments.
- High capability to design and deliver customer‑focused digital solutions. Success in this role is principally measured by aligning internal stakeholders around MyWärtsilä as the start point of the Wärtsilä digital experience, digital sales achieved via our own channel and the savings generated from the self-service flows you will help build.
- Strong track record in ensuring customer success, satisfaction, and retention in digital channels, preferably in a B2B environment.
- Proactive, structured, and able to manage multiple integration streams.
- Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholder groups across business areas to drive a unified digital experience.
- Line management experience is also considered advantageous.
- Capability to balance strategic vision with hands‑on product management and execution.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Analytical way of working and solution-oriented mindset.
- Problem solving skills, both technical and interpersonal.
- Fluent in written and spoken English, other languages considered advantageous.
