We are looking for a Enterprise Architect, Energy to join our Enterprise Architecture team working for a better future. The preferred location for this position is Helsinki, Finland. We offer the possibility of hybrid work.

Your role and responsibilities 

As a Enterprise Architect, Energy your work will focus to developing the Enterprise Architecture of Wärtsilä and for Wärtsilä Energy. On a typical day, you might be starting with interesting discussions about upcoming strategic projects and end the day with advising business on the next possible steps to secure compliance to different customer requirements. You will not be working on this alone, even though the work requires a high level of independency, as you will have the support of our business, cyber and IT organisation.

Your work will focus on these responsibilities

• Co-creation of strategic Information Technology related roadmaps for Energy Business
• Ownership of Energy Enterprise Architecture and its target state
• Describing the needed development actions from business, information, application, and technical aspects to reach desired business outcomes
• Align architects, business and IT stakeholders to drive target state architecture
• Defining guardrails and non-negotiable boundaries of target architecture
• Working as trusted advisor towards Energy Business, participating in development ideation and in case needed also challenge leaders
• Guiding and supporting of key development initiatives/projects
• Support business in investment prioritisation

To be able to succeed in the position, we expect you to have:

• 10+ years of experience in Business and/or IT in global environment
• M.Sc. University degree
• Knowledge on how to create roadmaps, design fit-for-purpose enterprise solutions and have skills to model and visualize needed change to achieve target position of business
• Fluency in ensuring how compliance requirements are fulfilled with IT solutions
• Understanding of complex international business environments and experience working with different stakeholders, from business Vice President to a technical specialist
• The ability to think strategically and capability to work as trusted advisor towards business  
• Prior experience of Energy as operating environment is considered as an asset, as well as understanding of regulatory standards and frameworks
