Insurance Manager

We are looking for an energetic full-time Insurance Manager to join our Group Treasury team in Helsinki.

The position is permanent and located at Wärtsilä’s headquarters, Helsinki, Finland.
 

Job description and main duties

  • Maintain, together with the Directory, good insurer and broker relationship
  • Support Wärtsilä Group and the businesses with continuous reviews of insurance coverages for adequacy and premium cost congruence with market rates
  • Contribute to perform annual renewal process of Global insurances for capacity build-up to meet requirements
  • Arrange insurance cover for customer projects, contribute to commercial negotiations, deliver certificates, and manage all customer specific insurance cases
  • Assist and advice business organisations with their insuring needs
  • Manage and develop further our opportunities in Captive and Global Employee Benefit Insurances
  • Serve as the point of contact with Wärtsilä’s insurance brokers and internal customers on matters of insurance management and administration
  • Pursue for claim decisions and handling with loss adjusters to seek for indemnification
  • Work closely with Legal personnel to develop and maintain best practices for contractual terms to ensure risk insurability
  • Administrate insurance related data collection and fee allocations
  • Make insurance related trainings to the Business teams
  • Assist is crisis management and Business Continuity Planning

 

The qualifications you ideally have

  • Proven 5-year working experience in a corporate or insurance company in field of risk and insurance management, preferably with a multinational perspective, with available recommendations
  • Completed B.Sc. or M.Sc. studies in area of Finance & Control, Legal, Engineering, or equivalent with relevance to insuring
  • Any qualifications or educations within insurance trade considered as benefit
  • Solid command of legal aspects related to the duties
  • Mindset and keen willingness to take the extra mile whenever needed
  • Good communication skills and can talk and write in fluent and professional English, however solid command of Finnish is a clear benefit
  • Ability to work in matrix organisation in an International scope
  • Good eye on clear and illustrative visualisation and presentation of data to the benefit of your audience
  • Excellent command of Office tools

 

It is a must that you have no criminal record and you consent with a background check;
Our Treasury team is responsible of Group’s liquidity and funding, financial risk management, front and back office operations, guarantees, enterprise risk management and insurances and customer financing solutions.

 

In your role you will report to Director, Risk Management and Insurances. You will naturally work together with the whole Treasury team, our businesses and our Global insurers and brokers.
