Position description:
We are now looking for a Manager for the Solution Development and Support to lead and manage Design & Engineering Solutions and services. This is an opportunity for a seasoned IT professional to take on a leading role in the Wärtsilä IT ecosystem in the Design & Engineering domain. In this role, you will be leading a team of solution domain professionals to enhance the value of the IT delivery and development of their own solution domain. The solution domain consists of Autodesk products including Autodesk cloud offering, Building Information management (BIM), EPlan, Product Configurator (Knowledge builder & Tacton), Calculation Simulation & Content publishing applications in an integrated solution landscape.
This position is full-time, permanent, and based in Finland (Helsinki, Vaasa, Turku).
Responsibilities and focus areas:
- To lead and manage the Design & Engineering Solution Team/resources and be responsible for lifecycle management of solution & service(s) in own area
- Conducts regular Service meetings and Key user meetings and facilitates effective communication among team members & stakeholders in their own responsibility area
- Oversee daily service delivery, ensuring adherence to SLAs and KPIs
- Maintains Service and Service Offering information in IM Service Portal ServiceNow and Service TCO and optimizes application costs
- Gives input to rolling forecast, possible year-end accruals and realized spending against PO
- Manages virtual service team consisting of internal and external personnel
- Manages Roadmap and Service catalogue of own responsibility area and manages assigned Services & tasks according to ITSM best practices
- Ensure IT services comply with security standards and regulatory requirements
- Build and maintain motivated Service/Solution teams, including third-party development resources, making sure there is an iterative plan to work towards. Develop a strong sense of ownership & business development mindset in your organization
Requirements:
- M.Sc. or B.Sc. in computer science, systems engineering, economics, data science or other related field of study. Excellent knowledge of Design & Engineering domains & processes
- Excellent knowledge of Autodesk, Eplan & Engineering tools and ServiceNow will be required
- Experience working as an IT Service Manager or in a similar position and working in an extended enterprise
- Strong understanding of ITIL methodologies and ITSM processes, knowledge of Agile/Scrum and DevOps methodologies. ITIL and Scrum master certifications are preferred
- Strong experience in solutions/systems development lifecycle – Requirements, Design, Implementation, Quality control, Deployment, Service transition combined with excellent coordination skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration with strong presentation and facilitation skills in addition to excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for understanding and fulfilling customer needs. Excellent team management and strategic thinking skills
- Wärtsilä Business knowledge and good knowledge in Design and Engineering would be an advantage
