MyHR Content Developer Trainee, HR Platforms (part-time)

About the Position:
In the People Services you find the HR Platforms team, a team consisting of tech professionals, building, enhancing and maintaining the digital enablers required to run our New HR Operating model. In the HR Platforms team, we build meaningful HR experiences on top of our existing platforms, to enable an engaging and self-service focused HR Services. In practice this means creating an interaction layer, a one-stop-shop custom HR portal powered by a virtual assistant, on top of our core Masterdata and other related systems. We support also other core systems around the company, by providing masterdata via traditional integrations and with our newest product, the employee API.

 

The HR Platforms team is organized around a set of prioritized products and capabilities, and we adopt the principles of agile ways of working. We work as an in-house development team and we partner with the business to ensure value delivery at cadence. This means that the team together with the HR Community defines the requirements, definition of done and acceptance criteria, after which the team together deliver the needed configurations, software and chatbot development, content, automation, UI or capability.


As MyHR Content Developer Trainee, you will see the exiting work of an in-house development team and be part of a fast-paced and goal-oriented way of working. The content development scope is wide, ranging from developing and delivering HR Portal content, namely content delivery of L&TD, HR Handbook, Knowledge sharing in the HR Portal, Virtual Assistant and the related applications. In this position you get to use a vast range of solutions to deliver meaningful content as also use your creativity in how content could be delivered in the most cost-efficient manner.

 

Your will work closely with the whole team as also with stakeholders in the wider HR community. You will learn how to ensure there is high-quality right-sized content available for the HR Portal users. You will enhance and maintain the content in the WeLeap learning- application. You will get acquainted with how to follow design and publishing guidelines and also get a broader view into what a content delivery playbook is. You will participate in the ambitious initiative of digitalizing the global HR Handbooks.

 

In this role you will need to be curious about content overall, be tech savvy, understand how data is used as input for content development and also see how storytelling and HR content come to life in a digital experience.


Responsibilities in this role:

  • Adding content to CMS, reviewing and publishing (Contentful is the chosen CMS)
  • Supporting coordination of growth content productions, overseen by Content Developer
  • Content updating according to content management process design 
  • Video editing of training/learning videos and support with design/visuals (templates, powerpoints etc)
  • Campaigning and raising awareness according to set plan (according to change management and communication plan – all HR Platforms initiatives)
  • Participates in content enhancement and in feedback loops
  • Support with chatbot transcripts if prioritized
  • Support with editorial content (HR knowledge base)
  • Support with HR policy digitalization (HR Handbooks)
  • Other tasks depending on sprint goals and phase in HR transformation

 

About You:

We are looking for someone at the end of her/his business or design studies to join the team and learn about digital product creation, digital content development, working in a global team and adopting agile ways of working. Basic understanding of content creation, video editing and publishing is considered a plus. After adopting the basics of the content creation approach in the team, you will have the opportunity to lead a small content project of your own, supported where needed by content developer experts. Focus will be on the interaction layer and it’s products.

To be successful in this role, we expect you to:

  • Be curious and proactively look for opportunities to partner and cooperate with your HR colleagues and business
  • Have experience in content creation in HR function
  • Understand the concept of E2E content production
  • Knows the basics of creating meaningful functional documentation
  • Put yourself in the shoes of our Wärtsilä colleagues to think what would serve best the whole company
  • Be service-minded. If you don’t know something, you will for sure find it out!
  • Readiness to work for a period of 6 months
  • Strong eye for detail and aesthetics to ensure the content experience quality
