(Junior) Chatbot and RPA Developer, HR Platforms (fixed-term role)

About the Position:

  • In the People Services you find the HR Platforms team, a team consisting of tech professionals, building, enhancing and maintaining the digital enablers required to run our New HR Operating model. In the HR Platforms team, we build meaningful HR experiences on top of our existing platforms, to enable an engaging and self-service focused HR Services. In practice this means creating an interaction layer, a one-stop-shop custom HR portal powered by a virtual assistant, on top of our core Masterdata and other related systems.
  • The HR Platforms team is organized around a set of prioritized products and capabilities, and we adopt the principles of agile ways of working. We work as an in-house development team and we partner with the business to ensure value delivery at cadence. This means that the team together with the HR Community defines the requirements, definition of done and acceptance criteria, after which the team together deliver the needed configurations, software and chatbot development, content, automation, UI or capability. 
  • As a Chatbot and RPA Developer in our team, you will be focusing on prioritized development activities, related mainly to the HR process redesign initiative. The backlog is prioritized every six weeks, and the development activities will be shifting based on priority. These range from core capabilities, RPAs, Chatflows, including identified integrations (API) to the core MasterData system SuccessFactors or Saba Software, creating the seamless flow between Manager and Employee and taking into account as well the chosen case management system, enabling the transactions. You also will get to develop both front-end and backend for the interaction layer (MyHR), as we approach development from full-stack perspective.
  • The team you daily work with consists of a Software Architect, Software developers, RPA Developer and a UX Designer, as well as Product owner and a content team. You will be in strong interaction with the content and tech capability developers, who are there to support you understand the details of the Core HR capabilities, process automation and chatflow details. The development work is facilitated by the product owner, but in this role and team, it is expected for each team member to derive the daily work based on a set common framework, collaborative planning and based on set goals and definitions of done. 
  • The target of your role as RPA and Chatbot Developer, is to develop maintainable and high-quality RPAs and Chatflows to enable automation of HR processes in the front-end layer. Currently all processes are revised and the development backlog created based on this constitutes the scope of work, which is refined in sprints. This means that development ranges across all the interaction platforms in the portfolio. The interactive People Services software and Virtual Assistant (AWS Lex, Lambda, AWS, React) as well as RPAs (UIPath) are in strong focus, preferring API enabled development where possible. The value of the HR Platforms as a portfolio will be concretely measured among other things per customer satisfaction, time saved, improved data quality and request resolution time. Our products have a secured customer base of 18.500 and feedback loop is established.


Responsibilities in this role:

  • Develop Chatflows (AWS Lex, React, FastAPI, Contentful) to MyHR the People Portal, (define, design, and ship).
  • Develop RPAs with UIPath, using the core capability APIs (SuccessFactors and Saba Software)
  • Development of any prioritized HR Portal feature (API and frontend focus)
  • Analyse the customer needs and design, document, test, and develop software as prioritized by the insight and satisfy the functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Readiness to demo the product to customers up to senior leadership to gain feedback
  • Expected to continuously improve the codebase as also participate in elevating the team skills and knowledge.
  • All developers in the team manage production support issues when needed.

 

About You:

  • People Services community is a group of professionals who are solution-oriented collaborators, fostering a culture of people-centricity, operational excellence and focus on making an impact to the business.
  • We are looking for someone with already a track record of delivering and maintaining software and preferably conversational UI in production. You have experience in customer-facing solutions (B2C,), and are familiar with the notion of fast feedback loops, demands-driven development and are happy to release any time. You have used UIPath to develop RPAs and understand how Robotics can support people experiences. You have experience in both gathering customer feedback and can give your expert judgement when refining the requirements. As we are supporting a fast-paced global HR Digital Transformation, HR Portal and Virtual Assistant being key enablers to reach the targets of this transformation, you will need to be resilient towards changing requirements and be able to work under high expectations from the stakeholders.
  • The HR Platforms team works in a global setting and the selected person will be expected to interact with stakeholders, users and the community members globally. You embrace the agile ways of working and actively contribute to the feature breakdown and refinement.  In the team we value an open and collaborative mindset and expect everyone to work together. We share early, we give prompt feedback and critique, and perceive this as a means to reach our targets with a high-quality deliverable. The backlog items or tasks are not considered as work-orders, but as common goals, which we seek to solve together in a human-centric manner.

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to:

  • Be service-minded. If you don’t know something, you will for sure find it out!
  • What we’re expecting
  • Experience with developing APIs, a plus if you have been working with core system APIs)
  • Infrastructure experience (e.g. AWS Lambda) 
  • Experience in Python
  • Understanding of modern frontend development tools
  • You are used to creating tests and document your code / solutions
  • You care about cyber security
  • You want to actively participate in the design of the solutions your build with the rest of the team to focus on the right things
  • You are willing to learn new things and share knowledge with the other team members
  • Basic knowledge on NLP and how it supports fulfilling customer requests
  • Basic knowledhe on RPA ans how it supports fulfilling process automation
  • We consider any of the following a plus, but not necessarily mandatory:
  • Solid experience with building conversational UIs with AWS Lex (chatbots)
  • Experience working with databases
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines
