Senior Agreement Manager, Energy Storage

In the Wärtsilä Energy—ES&O Lifecycle Management, we are looking for a Senior Agreement Manager for the growing Energy Storage markets in the United Kingdom, Europe, the Philippines, Taiwan, and Australia. The position will report to the General Manager, ES&O Lifecycle Management, and be based in the United Kingdom or Finland, although other locations can be considered. 

 

The Senior Agreement Manager is accountable for the ES&O Agreement Management team in the geographical region. ES&O Agreement Management team is responsible for the overall performance of the assigned agreement, warranty and transactional customers, including agreement renewals, upselling, customer care and lifecycle services delivery during the lifecycle of the ESS installations. This includes driving financial, operative and technical performance of customer installations, identification of customer pain points and addressing those with corrective actions. The Sr. Agreement Manager will also secure customer investments, minimise related financial risks, and ensure customer profitability by proactively identifying performance improvement measures. The Sr. Agreement Manager will work closely with the other ES&O teams to ensure a seamless process from project delivery into lifecycle support. 

 

Accountability:

 

  • Commercial and overall performance of assigned agreement and warranty contracts, including renewals, upselling, and lifecycle margin
  • Transactional sales for ES&O’s lifecycle customers
  • Operative and technical performance of customer battery energy storage system, identification of customer pain points and addressing those with corrective actions
  • Identify performance improvement measures together with Expertise Centres and Business Line
  • Customer satisfaction
  • Collecting receivables in a timely manner

 

Main responsibilities:

 

  • Lead, coached and developed the team of Energy Storage Agreement Managers globally
  • Execute assigned contracts in accordance with Wärtsilä Services guidelines, the Contract Management process and general management practices in a safe and cost-effective way
  • Implement Contract Management action plans, processes and guidelines in the assigned responsibility area
  • Follow up on customer satisfaction and ensure that agreed actions are taken in the area or in the assigned responsibility area
  • Plan, budget, and manage the results of the work within the scope of the contract
  • Optimise assets such as inventories, receivables, fixed assets, etc., tied to the contract
  • Maintain good internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • Ensure quality of work related to the contract execution
  • Follow up financial, operative and technical performance through reviews and reporting and take corrective actions
  • Maintaining customer-related data in CRM


Requirements:


Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, economics or similar is required for this role. Candidates must have at least seven (7) years of experience in contract management and administration, preferably in the energy generation industry, but other industries will be considered. Demonstrated success in managing, writing, reviewing and negotiating large, complex and non-standard agreements is a must. Solid knowledge of legal and contractual laws governing projects would be an advantage.
