Senior HR Manager

We are now looking for an experienced Senior HR Manager to join our team and strengthen our people partnering for global functions (and potentially selected businesses). In this role, you will act as a trusted people partner and advisor to managers and senior leaders, supporting them in people‑related decision‑making, performance management, organisational changes etc. You will also contribute to development of effective and future‑ready local HR practices in a complex global matrix environment. 

 

You will be based in Helsinki contributing to a positive employee experience together with other teams in Communications, Real Estate, EHS, IT, etc. 

 

Location: Helsinki, Finland 

 

 

Key responsibilities 

 

  • Acting as a people partner for global function and business stakeholders 

  • Serving as a trusted advisor for managers and senior leaders on people‑related topics 

  • Managing local compensation and benefits‑related topics 

  • Handling disciplinary and grievance cases when needed 

  • Supporting organisational changes and transitions 

  • Coaching managers on HR policies, ways of working and leadership practices 

  • Supporting employee relations and day‑to‑day people matters 

  • Ensuring local HR compliance and professional HR delivery 

  • Developing HR ways of working and contributing to HR initiatives 

  • Coordinating and facilitating local activities in Helsinki (e.g. onboardings, workshops, events) 

 

 

To succeed in the role, you have 

 

  • BSc or MSc degree in a relevant field 

  • 7+ years of experience in an HR Manager or HR generalist role in a complex, global organisation 

  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to challenge and support leaders constructively 

  • A proactive, customer‑oriented, and development‑minded approach 

  • A strong background in employee relations and solid understanding of Finnish labour law and negotiation practices 

  • Knowledge and experience of working time / time & attendance management are seen as an asset  

  • Interest and capability to leverage AI, data, and digital HR tools to improve decision‑making and efficiency 

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment 

  • Excellent communication skills in English and Finnish
