We are looking for a Senior Payroll & T&A Specialist with a main responsibility for local payroll and time attendance in Finland.
The preferred location for this position is Helsinki , Finland but also Vaasa and Turku are possible. We offer the possibility of hybrid work.
Your role and responsibilities
As a Senior Payroll & T&A Specialist, you will have a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing payroll and T&A processes, practices and data flows. Your responsibilities will include the development and maintenance of payroll and T&A-related processes and data flow to ensure efficiency and accuracy. In the role, you will cooperate and nurture partnerships with stakeholders and outsourced service providers to optimize payroll operations. You will provide expert advice and consultation to the business and HR teams on payroll and T&A matters, ensuring cost-effective practices. You will take care of the collection, review, approval, and delivery of payroll data with precision and attention to detail. You will also act as the expert on the T&A system, ensuring its effective utilization and continuous improvement.
You’ll be working as a part of local HR and payroll team with diverse expertise.
Requirements for the position:
- Strong expertise in payroll processing and process development
- Several years of experience in payroll and time management, including internal and external payroll, expert, and production organizations
- In-depth knowledge of employment matters and the interpretation of collective agreements and related legislation (e.g., Working Time Act and vacation legislation)
- Deep understanding of processes, HR solutions (payroll, T&A, and HR master), and the ability to develop payroll process automation
- Experience in creating guidelines and process descriptions
- Strong skills in managing and developing information systems and integrations
- Excellent collaboration skills and experience working with outsourced payroll
Qualifications/to be able to succeed in the position we expect you to have:
- Understanding and ability to operate in a global environment
- Ability to interpret, adapt and implement global guidelines locally to meet necessary local requirements
- Ability to make decisions and execute
- Ability to work independently and responsibly in projects
- Ability to actively participate as part of the HR team and contribute to joint projects
- Ability to manage details while seeing the big picture
- Ability to identify and seize development opportunities
- Ability to take into account and come up with ideas for using AI in your work
- Strong experience with HR solutions, preferably Nepton (T&A), SD Worx service tools (payroll), and Success Factors (HR master)
- PHT degree is seen as a advantage
