We are now seeking to expand our Helsinki-based Fleet Optimisation Solution (FOS) Web Applications development team with an SW Engineer.

SW Engineer (Full Stack Node/TypeScript Developer)

We are looking for a software engineer to join our team and take part in delivering value to our customer. In this role you will take ownership of the user interface service and make an impact by: 


  • Developing the UI in alignment with our customer values
  • Developing integration with other backend services
  • Work with our stakeholders, namely UX, product, support functions to deliver quality software
  • Documenting our products for other teams in Wärtsilä Voyage

Technologies you will be working with (we don’t expect you to master all, but a willingness to learn attitude is important):

  • React
  • NodeJS
  • Typescript
  • Websockets
  • Timeseries data
  • Redis

Bonus points if you are familiar with some of these: 

  • Python, Java, Kubernetes, GitOps, Flux, Azure IoT
  • Release management and continuous delivery
  • Agile software development process
