We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Solution Architect to join the Wärtsilä Information Management (IM) function. The main responsibility in this role is to design and implement robust HR technology solutions that align with our business objectives. You will work closely with HR stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to develop and execute technology strategies that optimise HR processes, enhance employee experience, and support overall business goals.
This position is based in Finland and reports to the General Manager, HR Tech Solutions.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the solution architecture for HR Tech Solutions, ensuring alignment with IM Enterprise architecture guidelines
- Ensure the solution landscape is meaningful, secure, sustainable, cost-efficient, and as standard as possible
- Collaborate with Solution Owners to implement best practices for core enablers
- Oversee automation capabilities on an enterprise level, ensuring core data integrations are built, maintained, and monitored as per IM practices
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior HR technology team members, if applicable
- Own the architecture review process for HR applications and continuously develop the process to be as smooth as possible
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulations and standards
- Develop and maintain relevant documentation
- Participate in RFP processes and in scoping of support operations to ensure a safe and compliant setup
- Stay abreast of HR technology advancements, industry trends, and emerging technologies, and provide recommendations for innovation and continuous improvement
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect, preferably in HR technology solutions
- Experience with data architecture and integration
- Familiarity with IT Enterprise architecture guidelines
- Understanding of HR processes and systems, specifically SAP SuccessFactors and BTP platform, experience with Cornerstone and Zendesk is a plus
- Knowledge of automation capabilities and enterprise-level solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English is required
- Ability to work in an agile environment and manage multiple priorities
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
