Solution Engineer, Product Configuration

We are looking for a Solution Engineer with a main responsibility in developing product configuration solutions and integrations to/from other systems and related services. The preferred location for this position is Vaasa, Finland but also Helsinki and Turku are negotiable. We offer the possibility of hybrid work.
  

Your role and responsibilities  

 

As a Solution Engineer your work will include working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to develop and maintain the product configuration solution and its integrations to/from other systems and related services. You’ll be working as a part of knowledgeable Product Design and Engineering Solutions team which is part of Product Engineering and Lifecycle Management Center of Excellence (PELM CoE) with diverse expertise.

 

Your work will focus on these responsibilities:

 

  • Collect and refine functional requirements from users and translate them into clear specifications.
  • Design, configure, and perform hands-on development within the product configuration solution.
  • Manage the solution roadmap, changes, and new requirements in your functional area.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Maintain documentation, test cases, and regression testing together with business stakeholders.
  • Monitor service performance, ensure SLA/KPI compliance, and follow service governance and ITSM practices.
  • Review solution designs and make key development and operational decisions together with the Solution Architect.

 

To be able to succeed in the position, we expect you to have:

 

  • A master’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and teamwork skills in a global environment.
  • Practical experience with agile methodologies, Scrum, and DevOps practices.
  • A genuine passion for programming and strong hands‑on development skills, including experience with APIs, .NET technologies, JavaScript, React, Node.js, Python, C#, and relational databases.
  • Experience with product configuration platforms (e.g., Tacton CPQ) is considered an advantage.
  • Passion and ability to learn new technologies and expand your development skills as platforms evolve.
  • A proactive, development‑minded, and goal‑oriented approach.
  • Knowledge of ITSM practices and service governance.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
