Voyage Services Business Development in Marine is looking for an enthusiastic Trainee, Communications to join our team in Helsinki, Finland. 

 

Who are we?  

 

Voyage Services is a business unit in Marine which focuses on delivering excellence in Marine operations through digital optimisation tools for fleets and ports, as well as simulation training for the Marine industry.  

Business Development is an enabling function that drives strategy execution at Voyage Services. The team focuses especially on product portfolio management and value proposition definition together with Product Lines, Sales and R&D teams. 

 

What will you be doing? 

 

You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of our communication and other strategy execution activities as part of the Business Development team. This role has two focus areas: internal communication and knowledge management systems. You will work with different teams at Voyage Services to produce internal communication and knowledge-sharing content to support our strategy execution. By working with our communication plan, you will support that we get our core messages across and drive the organisation towards a common goal. By working with our knowledge management system, we are improving the way we store and share information for efficient business operations.  

 

Duties and responsibilities:

 

  • Ideate, organise and coordinate internal communications events such as Quarterly Dialogues and Senior Leader calls 
  • Create material such as intranet articles, PowerPoint presentations and other publications that support the internal communication plan 
  • Keep our internal communication channels relevant by updating content and sharing the latest news and announcements 
  • Create materials that support our strategy execution and value proposition implementation 
  • Support in the creation of the knowledge management system to store, access, and update information relevant to efficient business operations 
  • Support in training our employees to use the created knowledge management system 

 

Main requirements:

 

  • You are currently a student at the University or University of Applied Sciences
  • Fluent English language skills are seen as compulsory 
  • A systematic and organised way of working  
  • Flexibility and good team working skills  
  • Capability to work with global colleagues 
  • Experience with similar tasks is an advantage 
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office tools
