Battery Systems Functional Safety Intern

Wärtsilä Energy Storage & Optimization, a leading battery energy storage integrator, is seeking a motivated graduate student with a background in Engineering to join our team. This exciting opportunity will allow you to expand your knowledge and experience in safety systems applied to large energy storage systems.

 

Background/Major:

  • Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, or related field

 

Desired Technical Skills:

  • Basic Systems Engineering principles and System Lifecycle Process Models
  • Understanding of battery management and control systems
  • Strong technical writing and documentation skills
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering tools
  • Knowledge of or interest in functional safety and energy storage safety standards
  • Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language
  • Experience with documentation tools and content management systems (a plus)

  • Conduct functional safety analysis
  • Identify process improvements
  • Assist in creating safety-related documentation
