Senior PCS & Inverter Specialist

As a Senior Inverter and PCS Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our company’s mission to develop cutting-edge power conversion systems. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, product managers, and R&D specialists. Your expertise will drive innovation, enhance system performance, and contribute to our organization’s success.

 

As a Senior Inverter and PCS Engineer, your primary responsibilities include:
•    Design and Development:
•    Create detailed specifications for inverters and PCS components.
•    Collaborate with the design team to optimize system efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
•    Modeling and Simulation:
•    Use simulation tools to model and analyze system behavior under various operating conditions.
•    Validate designs through simulations and iterate as needed.
•    Prototyping and Testing:
•    Build and test prototypes of inverters and PCS.
•    Evaluate performance, efficiency, and safety aspects.

 

Education and Experience:

•    A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.

•    Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, developing, and optimizing power conversion systems, inverters, and related components.

•    Proficiency in using simulation tools (such as PLECS, PSIM, or Simulink) for modeling and analysis.

 

Technical Skills:
•    Inverter Design: Expertise in designing high-frequency, grid-tied inverters for renewable energy systems (solar, wind, etc.).
•    Power Conversion Systems (PCS): Strong understanding of PCS architecture, control algorithms, and grid integration.
•    Component Selection: Ability to select and evaluate components (IGBTs, capacitors, transformers) for optimal system performance.
•    EMC/EMI Compliance: Knowledge of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and electromagnetic interference (EMI) standards.
•    Thermal Management: Experience in thermal analysis and heat dissipation techniques for power electronics.

 

Leadership and Communication:
•    Proven ability to lead technical projects, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting technical findings, project updates, and proposals.

 

Additional Role-Relevant Information:
•    Research and Development: You’ll actively participate in R&D efforts, exploring emerging technologies, and proposing innovative solutions.
•    System Integration: Collaborate with hardware and software teams to integrate inverters and PCS into larger energy systems.
•    Testing and Validation: Oversee testing, validation, and certification processes to ensure compliance with industry standards.
•    Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of industry trends, attend conferences, and contribute to technical publications.

 

Collaboration:
•    Work closely with hardware engineers, firmware developers, and project managers.
•    Provide technical guidance during product development cycles.

•    Documentation and Reporting:

•    Maintain accurate records of design changes, test results, and project progress.
•    Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
