About the position

In this position, you will define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for battery technology and hardware integration. This includes gathering and managing market, customer, and internal requirements and actively engaging cross functionally to support the organization with battery related tasks. On a typical day, you might start with a supplier call with sourcing discussing technical specifications and end the day assisting the sales team with sizing a project. Though the work requires a high level of independency, you will not work on this alone, as you will have support from your colleagues in the PM organisation and other stakeholders. For us to be the best match, we expect you to have a good understanding of Product Management and experience from working in energy storage solutions or in the energy/electrical engineering field.

We are expecting you to take on the following responsibilities

Collaborate with battery cell/module/rack suppliers and develop a selection and screening process for new technologies. Obtain and understand product characteristics and value and work cross-functionally to select technologies/solutions/components that maximize value for the business and our end customers.              

Lead the technical discussions with battery vendors, in close cooperation with sourcing.

Collaborate and support our proposal and sourcing and delivery organisation in battery related tasks. Work cross functionally with engineering, delivery, supply chain, sales, marketing, and quality to launch products and solutions. 

Be responsible for Battery data and documentation internally and externally. Help to establish and enforce product definition and life cycle strategy.

Work with engineering to develop system, component, and sub-component specifications for the various elements of a Battery energy storage system such as functional, performance, and compliance requirements for rack BMS, system BMS, modules, rack switchgear.

Create and document product documentation such as manuals, application guides, and source content for marketing material.

As an ideal candidate, you have gained experience from the energy storage industry. For you to succeed in the position, we hope you to have the following competencies:

 

Systematic approach and excellent communication skills. Team player attitude internally and externally, Entrepreneurial drive.

+3-7 years of product development/management  experience preferably in battery and/or energy storage renewables systems including electronics electrical and BMS design

Knowledge of batteries and energy storage industry certifications and compliance standards

Maintain positive working relationships with customers, peers, subordinates, vendors, shop and office in a fast paced environment

Language skills: Mandarin is seen as an advantage.

Willing to travel 30% of the time
