We are looking for an Accountant to join our dynamic, fast-paced Financial Statutory Accounting Services team.
This position will be hybrid and is located in Houston TX.

 

As an Accountant, you will focus on these responsibilities:

  • Perform general accounting and other related duties in the accounting department in SAP
  • Maintain the general ledger for several entities.
  • Code invoices set up new accounts, reconcile accounts, and close the monthly books.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts, do clearings verify deposits, and address inquiries.
  • Verify payments for accounts payable invoices ensuring appropriate accounts are charged.
  • Provide support to external and internal auditors; gather necessary account information and documents to perform annual audits.
  • File required quarterly compliance with Census bureau.
  • Provide backup support on AP duties, such as managing weekly payment runs for US, PR and CA; downloading monthly critical vendors invoices for processing; submitting occasional requests for urgent cycle payments.
  • Monitoring monthly Purchasing cards reports and providing payment instructions to vendor; ensuring monthly long-term and short-term leases are paid in a timely manner.
  • Monitoring parked documents in workflow and providing support to end users ensuring documents are handled on time.
  • Perform other accounting and administrative-related duties as assigned.

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

  • Understanding of accounting principles, US GAAP and IFRS.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to be a team member and provide support as needed.
  • Ability to multi-task in diƯerent assignments.
  • Ability to support diƯerent stakeholders with diƯerent level of experience and background

 

Information Management:

  • SAP experience.
  • MS OƯice – Excel VLOOKUP – medium level, Pivot Tables – medium level.
  • QlikView is a plus.
  • HFM is a plus.
