Agreement Manager – Energy Business North America
The Wärtsilä Energy Business – North Region team has a vacancy for an Agreement Manager, Energy Business North America.
Key Accountabilities
1. Manages contracts and executes end-to-end contract delivery management processes, managing the operational, commercial and people aspects of contract delivery.
2. Implements contract management and delivery management approaches, guidelines, processes and tools to manage contracts and contract delivery effectively. Contributes to the development and refinement of contract management and delivery management approaches, guidelines, processes and tools. Monitors market trends and adjusts contract management practices to align with industry best practices and business objectives.
3. Maintains up-to-date expertise in contract management, staying informed of market best practices and industry standards. Acts as a subject matter expert, offering guidance and mentorship to colleagues on contract-related matters.
4. Manages customer relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and identifying opportunities for additional sales. Collaborates with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks associated with contract management and execution, and to deliver tailored solutions that enhance customer value.
5. Monitors and manages contract performance, ensuring customer satisfaction, service delivery quality and timeliness, alignment of deliverables with contractual obligations and contract profitability, analyzing performance and generating reports to support decision-making and continuous improvement. Identifies and implements improvements proactively in collaboration with related stakeholders.
6. Leads contract negotiations and revisions, balancing organizational interests with customer needs. Identifies opportunities for additional sales towards customer.
7. Leads projects and initiatives within the contract management domain, ensuring successful implementation and adherence to timelines and objectives.

Business Impact: Independently manages mid-sized to large contracts and oversees various aspects of contract delivery management processes, being accountable for successful contract delivery and impacting customer satisfaction and contract delivery performance. Knowledge and Experience: Has a solid understanding of contract management and delivery principles. Manages standard but major contracts with increasing autonomy, effectively dealing with common customer and product challenges. Innovation and Change: Resolves problems by interpreting and applying established processes and guidelines. Participates in the enhancement of contract management methods and analytics, contributing to the refinement of contract management. Teamwork and Leadership: Proactively leads the work of Contract teams and other stakeholders involved in delivering the contract scope. Effectively plans, manages and supports the work done by various people to achieve common goals related to delivering value through the contract. Communication and Networking: Builds relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Monitors stakeholder performance and actively seeks feedback from customers to refine contract delivery practices in their area. Actively communicates improvements and insights to the team.
