Business Development Manager, Service Agreements & Upgrades

Hence, we are looking for a Business Development Manager – Service Agreements and Upgrades to join our dynamic, fast-paced, Energy Business team in the Americas region. Working remotely will be an option for this position, but candidate must live in commutable distance to airport. 
 
What will you be doing? 
As Business Development Manager – Service Agreements and Upgrades, you will have direct customer interaction with responsibility to develop Project and Agreement sales opportunities across the Americas region. You will be responsible for leading face-to-face proposal presentations and negotiations with customers to secure contracts. You will work collaboratively and proactively with internal company leadership teams to ensure the growth of profitable service agreements.
 
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in business development or service operations in energy services or equivalent business with capital industrial assets. 
 
As Business Development Manager – Service Agreements and Upgrades, you will focus on these responsibilities:
•    Develop and maintain customer relationships with the objective of securing new long term service agreements and upgrades contracts.
•    Close collaboration with internal Project & Agreements groups, Account Managers and BDMs responsible for new installation sales.
•    Progress and mature opportunities throughout the sales process, address customer requests for preliminary and final offerings, technical information, and performance details.
•    Lead Contract negotiations with the support of cross-functional teams
•    Tailor presentations for internal and external stakeholders, facilitate virtual and on-site meetings. 
•    Participate in relevant industry events, such as conferences, seminars, and trade shows.
•    Ensure a comprehensive handover of all commercial and technical aspects of the agreement at the time of contract execution to Project Management teams.
 
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
•    Basic technical knowledge related to services of capital good with a preference for experience within Electrical Power Plants.
•    Basic technical knowledge in Energy Storage systems and ancillary Services.
•    Prior experience and understanding of agreement and upgrades sales processes utilizing a systematic approach to assessing and developing all aspects, including the ability to identify and understand the customer’s buying & funding cycle in order to prioritize opportunities.
•    The ability to know when, who and how to explain the potential of the Project or Agreements to customer and relevant internal/external stakeholders.
•    A comprehensive understanding of the North/South American energy markets and associated business drivers.
•    Ability to lead established sales and proposal processes in an organized and traceable way.
•    A multi-year track record of major project &/or Agreement sales success (contract values greater than USD $5MM).
