Business Development Manager Service Agreements and Upgrades

Hence, we are looking for a Business Development Manager Service Agreements and Upgrades to join our dynamic, fast-paced, Business Support team for Energy Business in the Americas region in Houston, TX.
What will you be doing?
As Business Development Manager Service Agreements and Upgrades, you will have direct customer interaction with responsibility to develop Project and Agreement sales opportunities for North America/ Canada/ Caribbean You will be responsible for leading face-to-face proposal presentations and negotiations with customers to secure contracts. You will work collaboratively and proactively with both Finland-based Project & Agreements leadership to ensure the growth of profitable service agreements.
The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience in business development or in service operations in energy service or equivalent business on capital industrial assets.
As Business Development Manager Service Agreements and Upgrades, you will focus on these responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain customer relationships with the objective of securing new long term service agreements and or upgrades contracts.
- In order to obtain such close cooperation with our Project & Agreements groups, Account Managers and BDMs responsible for new installation sales is required.
- Throughout the sales process you are responsible to mature opportunities and adress customer requests for final and preliminary offerings, technical and performance information.
- Lead Contract negotiations with support of the involved support team.
- Tailor presentations for external and internal stakeholders, which could be virtual or on-site meetings.
- From time to time participation in conferences and trade shows in the geographical teritory
- Ensure a comprehensive handover of all commercial and technical aspects of the agreement at the time of contract to the agreement of project manager.
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
- Basic Technical knowledge related to services of capital good with preference to Electrical Power Plants.
- Basic Technical knowledge (or interest to develop knowledge in) Energy Storage systems and ancillary Services knowledge.
- Previous experience and an understanding of agreement and upgrades sales processes by means of a systematic approach to assessing and developing all aspects, including the ability to identify and understand the customer’s buying & funding cycle in order to prioritize opportunities.
- The ability to know when, who and how to explain the potential of the Project or Agreements to customer (or other external) and internal stakeholders.
- A comprehensive understanding of the North American energy market and associated business drivers.
- Ability to lead established sales and proposal processes in an organised and traceable way.
- A multi-year track record of major project &/or Agreement sales success (including greater than $5 million USD per agreement or project)
