We are looking for a to manage mechanical discipline in Energy customer delivery projects starting the supporting the sales activities on own area of project until warranty end. This position is to be located in Houston TX.

 

What will you be doing

 

As a Chief Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the whole mechanical disciplines (electrical, mechanical and civil parts) or a defined part of the scope in project execution towards the Project Manager for the project. The Chief Project Engineer will maintain the scope of work in his/her own area such as requirement collection, engineering phase, procurements of mechanical materials and services, logistic and support of installation and commissioning activities at site. The Engineer will participate in customer / stakeholder negotiations when needed and maintain good customer / stakeholder relationships. He/she will manage works under own responsibility area according to contract requirements together with internal team members and external vendors while planning the works with the total costs, schedule, quality and customer needs in focus.

 

As a Chief Project Engineer, you will focus on these responsibilities:

  • Safeguard that mechanical works are executed according to contract specifications and design directives as a member of a project team.
  • Make purchase specifications and bill of quantities as required for the project execution.
  • Make project-specific design and design packages.
  • Co-ordinate the design between sub-suppliers.
  • Develop Power Plant project wise mechanical solution for the client.
  • Carry out sub-supplier quality- and delivery follow-ups.
  • Support our site team during installation and commission phases.
  • Give feedback regarding technical solutions and complaints.
  • Participate in development projects.

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree/BSME
  • 10+ years of Mechanical engineering experience.
