Customer Support Engineer -  Power Plants in the Minnesota and Wisconson areas.

 

General Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist the Customer’s Site Team in their performance of minor maintenance according to the responsibility matrix described in Appendix 2 of the Service Agreement.
  • Be available to participate in the Customer’s daily checks of the applicable Facility.
  • Upon Customer’s request, assist the Customer during the days assigned to the specific facility, while ensuring that the Facility is safe and fulfills health and safety requirements.
  • Be the main interface during normal working hours to Wärtslä’s technical expertise in an event of troubleshooting for the Covered Equipment.
  • Be available to assist with root-cause analysis and with planning and guidance on actions for emergency repairs and Unplanned Maintenance outside Contractor’s scope of Services.
  • Assist the Customer’s Site Team in finding, documenting, reporting, and implementing solutions agreed to by the Wärtsilä warranty team for the warranty claims under the Equipment Supply Contract. Also to participate with the customer in the warranty meetings to follow up the warranty claims process.
  • Assist in the development and the review of the Customer’s operational plan for the Facility and provide comments and recommendations based on the Customer’s review within thirty (30) Days from receipt.
  • Work with the Customer’s Site Team on Performance Improvement Proposals for the Covered Equipment, which shall be reviewed quarterly by the Contractor and the Customer.
  • Review the asset diagnostic exception cases raised by the Wärtsilä Expertise Centre together with the Customer’s Representative monthly.
  • Provide advice regarding anomalous behavior detected through Expert Insight.
  • Participate in daily and monthly meetings with Customer’s Site Team and Customer’s Representative to discuss support needed and to review Expertise Centre Reports and any other reports suggested by the Customer or Contractor.
  • Be the Customer’s contact person with the Wärtsilä Expertise Centre.
