Cybersecurity Business Analyst Intern

We seek a passionate and proactive Summer Cybersecurity Business Analyst Intern to join Wärtsilä North America in our Houston office on a hybrid working schedule. This is a 3-month paid internship. 
 
You will have the opportunity to work with senior members of the Cybersecurity team to have hands-on training and gain experience in assisting in efforts between our technical security teams and business stakeholders.  In this program, you will collaborate closely with our Business Development Managers, Security Operations Center, and our Cyber Governance team. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, is comfortable with both deeply technical and business focused discussions, and has great conflict management skills. 
 
As a Cybersecurity Business Analyst Intern, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in various aspects of cybersecurity sales support, incident investigations, compliance and regulations. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to learn and grow in a fast-paced and collaborative environment while contributing to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities:
•    Providing cybersecurity support to business and sales tickets raised by our business development and field service teams
•    Assisting in the development of cybersecurity resources to be used by business stakeholders
•    Assisting in incident investigations and table-top exercises
•    Communicating cyber policies and procedures in customer meetings or audits
 
You'll need to have:
•    The ability to commute to our Houston office 3 days a week
•    A combined GPA of 3.0
•    Pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science or other relevant technical degrees
•    Have a basic understanding of network security and be familiar with various security tools
•    Have the ability to analyze and respond to security incidents promptly
•    Be interested in communicating technical topics to non-technical audiences
•    Have the ability to present information to large groups of people
•    Have effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
