Data Analyst, Expertise Center

At Wärtsilä, with our innovative energy solutions, we want to be leading the transition towards a 100% renewable energy future. To join us in this journey to make this happen, we are looking for a Data Analyst for our Expertise Center to complement our technical expert team in Americas with skills, dedication and a sense of adventure. We are building a new state-of-the-art expertise center to support our power plant and energy storage customers with latest technologies like remote connectivity and data-based troubleshooting. This permanent position will be in Houston, USA.

 

This is a unique opportunity for you to join us and shape the transitioning energy market and the energy business at Wärtsilä. As the Data Analyst, you will analyze the data coming from our customer’s installations through remote connections in order to provide technical support to our customers. Researching, collecting, and reporting information related to agreements, contracts, and support improvements in the industry and beyond that would benefit Wartsila would also be expected. You will work in a team of experts in the center and they will also coordinate the work of other cross organizational professionals.

This position will be based in our Houston, TX office, remote work is not available.

 

Accountabilities:

  • To minimize the unplanned maintenances impact and improve performance in installations under service agreements in the assigned area by analysing data and reports.
  • Remotely monitor and assist with troubleshooting customer’s installations to improve performance; use data to predict possible technical failures.
  • Human Capital maintenance and development.

 

Main responsibilities

  • Responsible for all operations support and follow up activities.
  • Interface with Technical Service.
  • Remote Monitoring of operative conditions and to lead a proactive maintenance management.
  • To work as the CBM (condition based maintenance)/Contract Management interface and follow up of the action plans to solve technical maintenance problems.
  • To maximize the spare parts life time and to lead the predictive maintenance management.
  • Work together with Maintenance Planner / Contract Coordinator in problem solving and asset optimization.
  • Assist with power asset system operation and remote support
  • To promote and support a safe working place culture.

 

Development responsibilities

  • To support building a competitive and motivated team supporting the Agreement Management organization.
