We are hiring an Electrical & Automation Power Plant Technician to join our team through a structured development path. The role begins in Field Service, offering hands-on experience with electrical and automation systems in diverse environments, and if successful completion of the Field Service phase with demonstrated electrical and automation proficiency transitions into a plant-based technician (Pecos, TX) role focused on electrical maintenance, automation systems, and reliability of power generation equipment.

Phase 1: Field Service Technician (First 6–12 Months)
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on generators, switchgear, control panels, and automation systems at customer sites.
- Assist with commissioning, wiring, and control system diagnostics.
- Conduct inspections and document service activities.
- Collaborate with engineering and automation teams to resolve electrical and control issues.
- Travel to customer locations across the region as needed.
Phase 2: Electrical & Automation Power Plant Technician (Post-Transition)
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair electrical and automation systems within the power plant, including PLCs, SCADA, switchgear, and instrumentation.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure system reliability and compliance.
- Monitor electrical performance and support root cause analysis of failures.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities and support continuous improvement.
- Perform plant operation activities including isolating electrical equipment, performing Lock-out/Tag-out procedures, and preparing systems for operations.
- Participate in shutdowns, upgrades, and automation system enhancements.
Required:
- Technical diploma or associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in electrical maintenance, automation, or field service preferred.
- Proficiency in using electrical testing tools, schematics, and control system software.
- Ability to work independently and travel frequently.
- Successful completion of Field Service phase with demonstrated electrical and automation proficiency.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance documentation.
- Ability to work in a team environment and follow safety protocols and procedures.
Preferred:
- Experience with PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley), SCADA systems, and industrial automation platforms.
Certifications in electrical safety, instrumentation, or automation systems are a plus.
This role offers a clear path from mobile field service work to a stable, plant-based electrical and automation technician position. Training, mentorship, and performance milestones will guide the transition, with future opportunities in automation engineering, supervisory roles, or technical specialization
