Engine Room Operator - Electric and Automation

Plant Operator - Electrical

 

We are looking for a Plant Operator – Electrical to join our Power Plant team in Pecos, Texas.

 

What will you be doing

As a Plant Operator - Electrical, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of electrical systems within a continuous production or power plant environment. You will work closely with Control Room Operators and maintenance teams to monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and support ongoing plant operations.

 

As a Plant Operator - Electrical, you will focus on these responsibilities:

 

  • Inspect electrical systems of engines and auxiliary equipment to detect faults and implement corrective or preventive actions
  • Identify and report abnormalities to Control Room Operators in a timely manner
  • Participate in troubleshooting activities and corrective maintenance during shifts
  • Perform routine and corrective maintenance tasks as assigned
  • Maintain accurate operational logs for main and auxiliary equipment
  • Identify and respond appropriately to alarms, including temperature and pressure deviations
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Promote a safe, clean, and well-organized plant environment.

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

  • 1+ year of experience working with electrical systems in an industrial or power plant environment
  • Knowledge of electrical control systems in a continuous production or power plant setting
  • Strong ability to monitor and interpret operational data
  • Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
  • Effective communication skills for reporting and coordination
  • Ability to follow established procedures and safety standards
  • High school diploma - Technical diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) preferred
  • Willingness to work in shifts, including nights and weekends
