Team Leader, Field Service (Electrical & Automation)
The Wärtsilä Energy Business – North Region team has a vacancy for a Team Leader, Field Service (E&A). As a Field Service Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and developing the Field Service Team in the North Region, Energy Business in accordance with the strategy, action plan and business needs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the Field Service demand during the year and define appropriate actions to address the need.
- Drive the development of electrical competencies within the Field Service team, ensuring readiness to support troubleshooting, commissioning, maintenance, and modernization activities across power generation installations.
- Ensure that the team is utilized effectively, having the right people in the right place at the right time.
- Foster strategic relationships with institutes of learning to attract and develop talent.
- Manage and maintain internal and external relationships, focused on achieving company targets.
- Facilitate good collaboration with key stakeholders throughout the delivery chain (Sales, Lifecycle Support, Agreements, Technical Service).
- Contribute to the annual budget preparation, and service forecast evaluations.
- Set the individual performance and development targets of your team.
Desired Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar qualifications
- Professional certifications or additional training in power generation systems, switchgear, protection systems, controls, or electrical commissioning are considered an advantage.
Desired Skills and Experience
- A minimum of 3 years managerial or leadership experience
- Understand of the Field Service process within power generation, energy, industrial, or electrical systems environments.
- Experience supporting electrical troubleshooting, commissioning, maintenance, and root cause analysis activities in power plant or industrial settings.
- Familiarity with automation and control systems, PLCs, HMI platforms, and plant monitoring systems is considered an asset.
- Be proficient with process tools such as SalesForce (CRM), Qlikview and FS Mobility

Travel Requirements: This position requires a 20 – 30% travel commitment, encompassing both domestic and international, including onshore and offshore locations. The role demands adaptability to varying travel demands, with an expectation of extended periods away from the primary work location. Prospective candidates should be prepared to fulfill these travel obligations as an integral aspect of the position's responsibilities.
