About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Business Partner Intern to join our Human Resources team. This internship offers hands-on experience working on strategic HR initiatives supporting the AMER Area/Region North growth plans. You will work closely with the Lead HR Business Partner to support business leaders and employees across various HR functions.
The position is temporary (internship), and the location is Houston, Texas. This role requires on-site presence at our Houston office three days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead HRBP AMER in implementing HR programs and initiatives aligned with business objectives.
- Support line managers through employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, performance management, and engagement programs.
- Conduct research and prepare reports on HR trends, policies, and best practices.
- Help coordinate training sessions, workshops, and employee development programs.
- Participate in HR data analysis and reporting to identify insights and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide administrative support for HR projects and maintain accurate documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with company policies and labor regulations.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related discipline. Senior-level students (final-year undergraduates nearing graduation) are strongly preferred.
- Ideally, prior experience in a corporate HR environment.
- Demonstrated interest in the energy sector and its dynamics.
- Strong passion for HR strategy and business partnering.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability and commitment to work on-site at our Houston office three days per week
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with HR systems or tools (Workday, SAP, etc.).
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
