Project Controller
We are now looking for a Project Controller to join our team working for a better future.
Location: preferred location is Houston.
What You Will Be Doing
You will play a key role in supporting the Project Manager and project organisation as an integrator and facilitator in planning, monitoring, and controlling project activities. This includes preparing project reports, identifying risks, and ensuring compliance with the Company Project Management Methodology and Business Directives. You will also oversee the financial health of projects, manage expenditures, and act as a stand-in for the Project Manager when required. The role reports to the Project Manager and Functional Manager.
Responsibilities

Support the Project Manager and project organisation in planning, monitoring, and controlling activities.

Prepare project reports and notify risks based on project requirements and contracts.

Compile project plans with input from the project organisation.

Ensure compliance with Company Project Management Methodology and Business Directives.

Manage project activities in planning, monitoring, controlling, and reporting in collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Secure utilisation of the Internal Business Process Framework.

Participate in customer and stakeholder negotiations when needed and maintain strong relationships.

Act as a stand-in for the Project Manager when required.

Oversee, forecast, and report on the financial health of the project by analysing costs, revenue, and risks monthly.

Track and allocate all project expenditures and invoicing.

Develop and manage project-specific approaches for shipment value handling.

Agree on Project Controller role, tasks, and allocation during Project Initiation phase.

Represent the company in all project-related matters.

Participate in the development and improvement of project management processes, tools, and methodologies.
Required qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business or Economics.

Minimum of 3 years in the energy construction industry with proven experience in project delivery.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Strong cultural awareness and adaptability in diverse environments.

Advanced problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

Solid project management expertise.

Strong cost awareness and ability to drive cost-effectiveness.

Skilled in negotiation and delivering impactful presentations.

Language: Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus, but not required
Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree (e.g., Master’s in Project Management, Finance, or related field).

Experience managing large-scale or international projects.

Proficiency in SAP and familiarity with financial reporting tools.

Working knowledge of Clarity and Power BI for project tracking and data analysis.
Travel Requirements
In this role, some domestic and international travel may be required. While most meetings are virtual, expect to travel approximately 20 % of the time.
