Regional Operations Coordinator, US & Canada
Our mission is to lead the world to a 100% renewable energy future. We are now looking for a dynamic high performer to join our fast paced and exciting Energy Business - Regional Operations North Team as a Regional Operations Coordinator for the US and Canada. We are a SMART technology company that empowers our people to collaborate and shape our markets, so that we can have a sustainable impact on society. Our field service engineers & superintendents are regularly assigned to attend to our customer's installations for complex equipment installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and repairs for many days or weeks at a time.
The preferred location for this position is Houston TX.
As a Regional Operations Coordinator, you will focus on these responsibilities:
- Work as one team with Account Manager and Sales Support to develop sales proposals
- Lead and coordinate complex Field Service activities, including personnel, spare parts, costs, and time
- Support field service personnel when they are assigned on a job
- Act as contact person for customer during the jobs
- Communicate with the customer, our engineers, and the account manager during the delivery of Field Service jobs any and manage change orders to the job Scope as required which have financial impacts
- Comply with Safety and ISO processes for personnel, tools and machines to ensure safety, accuracy and quality of all services provided
- Suggest investments in tools to improve the Field Service job performance
- Cooperate with others in order to ensure the right resources are assigned for every job
- Manage all jobs in SAP from an Administrative standpoint
- Take responsibility for briefing and debriefing of the engineers before and after the jobs
- Prepare lessons learned, execute actions and share with internal stakeholders
- Ensure that the work is executed according to Wärtsilä Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines and customer site procedures
- Follow up the service work orders until invoicing including change orders, technical documentation, timesheets, travel expenses, and vendors invoices
- Develop and implement the Field Service processes
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have or be:
- 5 – 10 years of experience with Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial field service operations and maintenance management.
- Safety focused
- Able to communicate effectively with field staff and client
- Able to develop and implement field service processes
- SAP proficient.
