We are seeking for a traveling Superintendent to install Cloud connectivity systems in Marine and Energy installations. This is to ensure assets under agreement will be sending data to cloud, enabling digital services, Expert Insight and Operational Support.
 
The location for this position is in the USA, preferred in Texas or Florida.

What will you be doing: As a Superintendent, Connectivity, your work will focus on these responsibilities.
 
·       Leading the on-site work to ensure timely and efficient Cloud connectivity of assets.
·       Traveling to each job site to install and test Wärtsilä delivered data collection devices.
·       Build, test and troubleshoot TCP/IP and serial networks.
·       Provide commissioning support to remote sites.
·       Write service work reports.
·       Provide feedback for product improvements.
 
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:


·       Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Automation or IT OR 5 years’ work experience with electrical and automation systems.
·       A strong understanding of computer networking, including routing and firewalls.
·       Availability to travel frequently and on short notice. 
·       High level of independence with the support from the dynamic team.
·       Proficient in English, written and verbal.
·       It is considered an advantage to:
•      Have been working for Wärtsilä Field or Technical Service.
•      Have certification in TCP/IP networks.
•      Have expertise in Wärtsilä Marine and Energy networks

Successful applicant must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship. Salary range is $75,000 - $95,000, depending on experience and education. The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.  Eligibility to participate in: the discretionary incentive plan assigned to the level of position upon offer of employment; medical, dental and vision coverage, 401(k) plan and flexible spending accounts, subject to plan terms; Company-paid benefits such as life insurance, short- and long-term disability, subject to applicable waiting periods.  Paid time off (PTO) is accrued on a per-pay period basis in accordance with tenure in the Company; a new hire can expect 17 days per year. Twelve (12) Company-paid holidays.
