What will you be doing?

 

As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading the Houston In-Situ Machining team and overseeing the planned expanded Tools Hub (Tool Center). This position plays a key role in coordinating field service teams across the Americas, ensuring efficient and high-quality service delivery for marine engine repair and maintenance.

This position reports to the Manager for Marine Field Services – AMER Region.

Candidates are expected to demonstrate strong leadership, organizational skills, and technical expertise in machining operations, while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

 

 

Accountabilities:

 

In this position, you will lead and coordinate field service activities, manage resources (personnel and tools), and ensure compliance with operational standards and safety guidelines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead and coordinate field service teams, setting goals, assigning tasks, and ensuring alignment with service delivery objectives.
  • Implement operational plans and policies to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage personnel responsibilities: selection, training, performance appraisal, discipline, and safety compliance.
  • Foster team development and continuous learning.
  • Act as the main contact for field service coordination and operational issues.
  • Oversee planning, shipping, and tracking of machining and measuring tools for optimal utilization.
  • Support troubleshooting and issue resolution for field teams.
  • Advocate for new tools, techniques, and best practices to improve service activities.
  • Contribute to the creation of new machine tools, fixtures, and techniques, including CNC programming and machining of new parts.

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

 

  • Strong background in machining (manual and CNC).
  • Proven leadership experience in field service operations.
  • Knowledge of in-situ machining tools, laser alignment, and line boring equipment.
  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills.
  • Ability to travel to job sites across the Americas (not workshop-based).
  • Familiarity with safety standards and PPE compliance.

Travel Requirements:

 

This position requires a 40% travel commitment, encompassing both domestic and international, including onshore and offshore locations.
