Electrical Technician (Australian Certified)

What are your main task and responsibilities? 

•    Independently, or with team execute Field Service activities on electrical controls, LV, HV systems on Wartsila’s marine and power plant installations. 
•    Identify and locate all existing sensors and transmitters of engines and auxiliary equipment as well as test and substitute them if necessary 
•    Comply with all safety regulations (including isolation, lock out and tag out) and perform emergency procedures in order to protect personnel and equipment in case of damage or failure of safety devices.
•    Ensure that the working area, machines, auxiliary equipments and tools are kept in good and clean condition.
•    Identify and correct abnormalities of the engine excitation systems as well as the test the protection and supervision equipment of the system
•    Comply with all Field Service IM Tools such as mobility app, Service work reporting etc.
•    Supervise the tasks performed by Wartsila employees and subcontractors. 
•    Create work reports according to guideline.
•    Collect and organise timesheets and expense reports. Reporting and informing administrative personnel as required. 
•    Assist Maintenance Supervisor as required.
•    Ensure that the work is executed according to Wartsila Quality, Safety and Environmental guidelines and customer site procedures as well as assigned maintenance plan

 

What do we expect from you?
A.    Education:
•    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 3-5 years’ work experience 
•    Must have an Australian Certified Electrical Licence
