Senior Account Manager, Energy Services

The Senior Account Manager for Energy Services at Wärtsilä is responsible for driving sales performance by executing end-to-end sales processes for Services (spare parts and Field services), reporting to the Europe General manager of Services sales. Engaging with customers, developing customer relationships, and utilizing in-depth knowledge of products and market trends to deliver tailored sales solutions.

 

The ideal candidate should be located in Turkey and be able to travel at least 20% of the time. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Executes and manages complex end-to-end sales processes for assigned Energy customers or markets, from prospecting to closing deals, ensuring customer satisfaction and business profitability.
• Identifies opportunities for sales growth within assigned markets or customer segments. Develops and implements sales plans and tactics to reach nominated targets and develop new business. Identifies, researches, and contacts prospective customers and builds positive relationships that will generate future sales and repeat business. Refers sales leads, customer feedback, and information on competitor activity to appropriate contacts within the organization so that they can respond to changing market conditions and customer demands.
• Builds and maintains long-term relationships with customers, understanding their needs to offer tailored solutions. Develops profitable business and capitalizes additional business opportunities for existing customers/accounts.
• Analyzes market trends and customer data to identify sales opportunities and recommend strategies for market penetration. Utilizes advanced analytics to monitor sales performance and identify areas for improvement, driving continuous enhancement of sales processes.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to align sales activities with overall business operations and objectives.
• Leads sales initiatives and projects, contributing to the development and execution of sales plans and tactics.
• Acts as a subject matter expert in sales, providing insights, mentoring, and guidance to less experienced sales personnel.
• Maintain and develop relationships with key customers, addressing their needs and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Oversee the preparation and management of quotations, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and stay updated on industry trends.
• Prepare and present regular reports on sales activities, performance metrics, and market conditions to senior management.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Energy Services sales function.
• Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.

 

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering,  Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred but not mandatory. 
• Excellent knowledge of English language (verbal and written)
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, particularly in Account management, with at least 5 years in a similar Industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to analyze and interpret market data.
• Self-motivated, high integrity, customer focus, results-oriented, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong organisational skills and team player mindset.
