We are looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Service Engineer specializing in Electrical & Automation to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, supervising, and supporting engine repair and overhaul activities, ensuring high-quality service delivery to our customers.

 

The position requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to delivering quality service and ensuring customer satisfaction.

 

The main office is located in Tuzla/Istanbul, so residing in the vicinity of the office is highly preferred.

Your role and responsibilities  

 

As a Senior Service Engineer Electrical & Automation you will focus on these responsibilities:

 

  • Perform troubleshooting on equipment families (e.g., WECS/UNIC) based on customer requirements.
  • Guide and supervise engine parameters during engine repair and overhaul jobs.
  • Develop a basic understanding of engine auxiliaries and control devices/equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards during all service activities.
  • Provide technical communication and support to customers and internal teams.

 

 

Requirements for the position 

 

  • B.Sc. in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 80%) - globally
  • Basic communication troubleshooting knowledge (TCP/IP, Profibus, RS232/485).
  • Basic knowledge of engine governing equipment (e.g., Woodward, WECS, UNIC).
  • Proficiency in computer applications (e.g., MS Office).
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Cost awareness and effectiveness.
  • Customer understanding and technical communication skills.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Turkish.

 

As an ideal candidate you might also have… 

 

  • Basic PLC troubleshooting knowledge (e.g., Siemens Step7/TIA Portal, Schneider Ecostruxure/Unity V10.0+).
  • Basic knowledge of SCADA systems (e.g., Wonderware Intouch, Factorylink, WinCC).
  • Familiarity with Wärtsilä products and experience in installation, maintenance, or repair environments.
