Workshop Quality Engineer

We are now looking for a Workshop Quality Engineer to join our Workshop Turkey service team working for a more sustainable future through. The position is Permanent. The preferred location for the position is in Istanbul, Turkey and preferably close to Tuzla .

 

What will you be doing

In this position, your work will include Continuous monitoring of quality and innovations needs during On a typical day, you might be starting with 08:00 and end the day with 17:00. You will not be working on this alone, even though the work requires a high level of independency, as you will have the support huge global network and local workshop manager.

 

For us to be the best match, we expect you to have understanding in machining or manufacturing quality control and experience from working with engine parts. As an ideal candidate, you have gained experience from manufacturing quality control and knowledge of 5S Kaizen system. For you to succeed in the position, we hope you to have technical background and ability to use measure instruments competences and be proactive at all service process.

 

As Workshop Quality Engineer, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

  • Continuous monitoring of quality in house.
  • Determining equipment needs according to incoming innovations and needs during daily basis.
  • Monitoring and updating the tool planner program in SAP.
  • Responsible of monitoring the calibration requirement and the condition of the measuring instruments used.
  • Monitoring the accuracy and adequacy of the maintenance forms kept by technical service person.
  • Defining the points of lack of quality and potential for rework, informing the workshop manager and necessary technical responsible person at this point.
  • Determining the lack of special tools and measuring instruments used in maintenance at workshop and Field service, making corrective work for those who need it.
  • Assigning the tools used to the necessary people and checking their condition upon their return and informing the relevant people in the chain.
  • By making random measurement checks in the maintenance carried out in the workshop at every job like inspector and informed responsible person in charge.
  • Be engaged 5S projects and process improvements in all areas.
  • Participate in weekly planning meeting and positive participation in daily work schedule board meetings and create improvement initiatives.
  • Making improvements and pre investment based on tool requirements.
  • Authorization to stop work in the workshop, according to 5s and quality related issues

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

  • Having worked as a quality control officer in technical machining and similar fields
  • Having an engineering degree and technical experience.
  • Taking an active role in 5s transformation, decarbonization and similar sustainability projects.
  • Experienced in precision measuring instruments and calibrations.
  • High level English speaking and writing skills.
  • Knowledge of SAP, Crm and similar tools,
  • Ability to actively use Microsoft Office programs

 

In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers around the world. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 10%, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
