Workshop Coordinator

We are now looking for a Workshop Coordinator to join our Workshop Turkey team working for a more sustainable future through. The position is Permanent. The preferred location for the position is in Istanbul, Turkey and preferably close to Tuzla.
What will you be doing
In this position, your job will include continuous monitoring of the entire service workflow, such as work in progress in the workshop, planning of future work, and planning of order tracking in CRM, implementation of the Wams system, our working hours start at 08:00 on weekdays and end at 17:00. As you will have the support of a large global network and local workshop manager, you will not work alone, although the job requires a high level of independence.
For us to be the best match, we expect you to have graduated from departments such as Naval Architecture and Marine engineer / Mechanical engineer & Similar high technical capabilities and experienced in 2/4 stroke engine maintenance and if additional ability like 5S Kaizen system, machining skills would be welcome. For you to succeed in the position, we hope you to have technical background and ability to use measure instruments competences and occasionally proactive at service process.
As Workshop Service Coordinator, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
• To be communicated to other parties or customers both verbally or by reports.
• Install base and configuration Information is kept up to date and is readily available to the business.
• Administration of service planning, service request scheduling and spare parts requests from customers and global network, including tracking details for invoicing..
• Coordination of all planned maintenance activities with customers and service team.
• Ensure all service reports are submitted and reviewed within determined timelines.
• Defining the points of lack of quality and potential for rework, informing the workshop manager and necessary technical responsible person at this point.
• Ensure technical enquiries and escalations are forwarded to the appropriate area within the department
• To create service invoices and service maintenance contracts in CRM and SAP.
• Will work in harmony with the field service coordinator, will support him continuously and will be able to take his place for a short time when necessary.
• Assist in the development and correct application of repair procedures across multiple product lines in the workshop.
• Be engaged 5S projects and process improvements in all areas.
• Participate in weekly planning meeting and positive participation in daily work schedule board meetings and create improvement initiatives.
• Authorization to stop work in the workshop, according to 5s and quality related issues.
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engine watch keeping engineer, Shipyard engine repair team engineer or other related field.
- Having an engineering degree and technical experience and minimum 5 years of experience.
- Will not hesitate to take an active hands-on role, although this will rarely or never be required in this job position.
- Technical background/Skills.
- Service-oriented and understand the importance of identifying customer needs.
- Good communication skills.
- Written and spoken English fluently.
- Knowledge of SAP, CRM and similar tools,
- Ability to actively use Microsoft Office programs
- Having done his military service for a male candidate.
- Residing in the Anatolian side of Istanbul and preferably close to Tuzla,
In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers around the world. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 10%, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
