Senior Plant Technician Mechanical - PT FI

Location : Timika Papua,

Main Responsibilities

  • Responsible for safe operations and maintenance of the plant during the designated shift, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations including isolation, lock-out, and tag-out.

  • Maintain machines and auxiliary equipment in good condition and cleanliness, taking necessary steps for prevention and correction of abnormalities.

  • Assist the Maintenance Supervisor as required.

  • Coach other technicians and general labour as needed.

  • Isolate and prepare engines for stopping and starting, resolving possible flaws during these processes.

  • Carry out corrective inspections of all mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical equipment, including supervision of engines.

  • Reset alarmed equipment on plant panels, identify alarms in electric panels and equipment protection, and correct abnormalities.

  • Assemble, disassemble, and clean internal components of lubricating oil and fuel oil separators, identify abnormalities, and propose solutions.

  • Perform sub-assembly work and report completed tasks.

  • Keep the working area clean and in good order.

  • Recommend spare parts orders when necessary.

This position follows a rotational roster of 3 months on duty followed by 2 weeks off.

 

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.

  • Diploma in Engineering or equivalent qualification.

  • Willingness to work in Timika, Papua.
