Senior Service Engineer

Location: Jakarta, Indonesia
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute Field Service activities, including overhaul, repair, and troubleshooting of Wärtsilä equipment.
- Diagnose technical issues, perform adjustments, and conduct testing and trial runs of installations in line with established procedures.
- Inspect, maintain, and optimize auxiliary and propulsion systems.
- Prepare clear and accurate internal and external service reports in accordance with Wärtsilä standards.
- Manage time and expense reporting, ensuring timely submission and coordination with relevant stakeholders.
- Supervise and guide Wärtsilä employees and subcontractors during service activities.
- Perform pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up of Wärtsilä engines.
- Promote Wärtsilä products and services while engaging with customers on-site.
- Ensure compliance with Operational Excellence (OpExS) procedures within your scope of responsibility.
- Effectively utilize Field Service tools (FSM and related applications) to support service delivery.
Development Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with customers while identifying potential sales opportunities and business growth.
- Continuously enhance your technical expertise and professional capabilities through hands-on experience.
- Communicate effectively in English (proficiency is an advantage).
Accountabilities
- Deliver work with completeness and accuracy.
- Meet agreed lead times for service execution.
- Maintain high-quality standards with minimal to zero rework.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and informative reporting (daily and weekly reports).
Job Requirements
- Indonesian nationality.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Indonesia and overseas.
- Minimum Diploma Degree in Engineering.
- Experience with Wärtsilä engines is a strong advantage.
- Around 4–5 years of experience in a similar field service or engineering role.
