Join Wärtsilä – Service Engineer
Preferred Location: Jakarta | Travel Required (Domestic & International)

Wärtsilä is a global leader in smart technologies and complete lifecycle solutions for the marine and energy markets. We are currently seeking a skilled and proactive Service Engineer to join our team in Jakarta, Indonesia. This role offers hands-on technical challenges, global exposure, and the opportunity to contribute to sustainable innovation.

Key Responsibilities :

As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for executing field service activities and ensuring high-quality technical support for Wärtsilä products and systems. Your tasks include:

  • Independently perform overhaul, repair, troubleshooting, and commissioning of Wärtsilä engines
  • Identify failures, make adjustments, conduct trial runs, and test complete installations
  • Inspect and adjust auxiliary and propulsion systems
  • Prepare internal and external service reports in line with Wärtsilä standards
  • Organize time and expense reports, and coordinate with administrative teams
  • Supervise tasks performed by Wärtsilä employees and subcontractors
  • Conduct pre-commissioning and start-up procedures
  • Promote Wärtsilä products and services to customers
  • Apply OpExS procedures within your area of responsibility
  • Fully utilize Field Service Information Management tools (FSM and related apps)

Development Responsibilities :

  • Build strong relationships with customers and identify new service or sales opportunities
  • Continuously develop technical knowledge through daily service activities

Performance Expectations :

  • Timely and complete execution of assigned tasks
  • High-quality service delivery with minimal rework
  • Accurate and informative reporting (daily and weekly, submitted within 2 days)

Requirements :

  • Indonesian nationality
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Jakarta
  • Willingness to travel across Indonesia and internationally
  • Minimum Diploma Degree in Engineering
  • Familiarity with Wärtsilä engines is an advantage
  • 4–5 years of experience in a similar technical service role
  • Willing to rotate duties and postpone personal leave during festive periods to support operational continuity
