HR Generalist WJP

General Purpose of Job:

- Performs and coordinates immediate activities to meet objectives.

- Typically experienced HR Generalists with full scope of HR activities in big country with local scope.

- Provide HR support to the country aligned with Wärtsilä#s global HR

guidelines and relevant legislation in the areas of organizational

development & design; resourcing & recruitment; learning & development;

performance management; career development; rewarding; motivation &

engagement and related supporting tools.

 

1.Main responsibilities:

1) One contact window for Toyama managements and employees

2) Deliver HR professional service independently in cooperation with global HR and local HR functional champions

3) Promote following HR activities in Toyama aligning with global HR policies and initiatives

    >Performance Management

    >Organization Development

    >Talent Development

    >Talent Acquisition

    >Labor compliance

    >Employee Relations

    >Labor Union Management

 

2. Country HR Champion for following roles

1) HRIS and HR report / Statistics management

2) Local HR process management (except payroll )

3) Performance Management

4) Compensation planning

5) HR compliance and legal affairs (including HR related contract)

 

3. Necessary Experience

1) More than 5 years experience as HR generalist

2) More than 5 years experience for union management / negotiation

3) Composition of work regulation & labor agreements

4) Trainer for leadership or other HR related training

5) Handle difficult ER cases (Disciplinary action, Severance, Harassment, etc.)

6) Compensation & benefit management (e.g.  comp surveys)

 

4. Desirable Experiences

1) Recruiter (both new grads & professional)

2) HR generalist for manufacturing site

3) Labor legal suits management

4) EHS committee member in manufacturing site.

 

5. Necessary Knowledge / Skills

1) Advanced knowledge about Japan labor laws and practices

2) Advanced knowledge of HR database and IT systems

3) Advanced knowledge about JG and market pay structures

4) General knowledge about performance appraisal processes

5) General knowledge about recruiting processes

6) Project management / Planning

7) Interview

8) Facilitation

9) Coaching

 

6. Desirable Skill / Knowledge

1) General knowledge about EHS related / ISO or OSHAS audit

2) Advanced knowledge about payroll process

3) Advanced knowledge about social insurance

 

7. Language Skills

1) Native level Japanese

2) Advanced business level English skill (TOEIC 850 or above)
