The Electrical Technician is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and auxiliary equipment within the power plant. The role involves troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, control panels, engines, MV/HV equipment, and plant instrumentation, while ensuring compliance with all safety procedures and operational standards. The Electrical Technician supports plant reliability by monitoring equipment performance, diagnosing faults, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation and maintenance of plant equipment while complying with all safety procedures, including isolation, lockout, and tagout (LOTO) requirements.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and auxiliary equipment to maximize plant reliability and availability.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain engine components, including injection pumps, cylinders, turning gears, engine stop systems, and emergency shutdown devices.
- Diagnose faults and repair electrical panels, replacing components such as contactors, transformers, fuses, and other electrical devices as required.
- Operate, maintain, and identify equipment within Medium Voltage (MV) and High Voltage (HV) systems.
- Support the operation and maintenance of HRSG (Heat Recovery Steam Generator) and Steam Turbine Generator (STG) systems.
- Utilize electrical testing and diagnostic equipment, including digital and analog multimeters, frequency meters, capacitance meters, DC sources, and oscilloscopes.
- Monitor and record operating parameters such as pressure, temperature, and other equipment readings using appropriate instrumentation.
- Operate lubricating oil and fuel oil separators, monitor alarms, and conduct routine operational checks independently.
- Monitor control systems, identify alarms and trips, troubleshoot equipment issues, and support system restoration activities.
- Analyze equipment performance trends, identify abnormalities, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant efficiency and reliability.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and support compliance with operational, safety, and quality standards.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Mandatory).
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Prior experience in power plant operations, industrial maintenance, or electrical maintenance is preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting is an advantage.
