The main responsibilities are as follow:
- Carry out and Supervise Mechanical Technicians are performing preventive maintenance duties on all major equipment and systems, including emergency backup systems.
- Oversee the inspection, repair, installation and removal of all types of Genset Equipment and Auxiliaries.
- Spare parts planning, inventory management, preparation of work report, maintain equipment files, logs and drawings for all designated equipment and ensure that the data files are completed and current.
- Responsible for long-term spare parts planning, inventory management and JSA implementation.
- Complete other tasks as requested by the immediate superior.
- Develop and implement training program for subordinates.
- Enforce environmental regulations.
- Provide technical support to the maintenance teams to ensure correct procurement of correct and suitable replacement equipment and manage stock levels.
- Effective control of Subcontractors performing task.
- Keeps abreast of innovative developments and apply them when applicable.
- Maintain, control and further develop procedures for all operations.
- Inspect completed work to check that repairs have been completed correctly and that machinery and equipment conform to specification and safety standards.
- Monitor the condition of maintenance equipment, material, parts and tools that are used by maintenance employees in their day-to-day activity.
- Prioritize and assign tasks so that team's resources are used effectively, and that work schedules and targets are met.
- Develop a weekly schedule in determining the job priorities and complete the tasks as directed by immediate superior.
- Review work planning and scheduling and provide feedback to the immediate superior to ensure that job plans are efficient and effective.
- Coordinate maintenance activities during the shift to ensure that the plant is operated according to demand.
- Ensure that the performance targets of the plant are reached according to the contract in its own responsibility area.
- Train maintenance procedures and standards for fellow workers.
- Ensure that the work is executed at the plant according to Wartsila Quality, Health, Safety, and
- Environmental guidelines and customer site procedures.
- Prioritize and assign tasks so that assigned team resources are used effectively, and targets are met.
- Maintain all Maintenance records according to the Plant Management procedures and guidelines.
- Follow all maintenance procedures according to Wartsila standards.
Job Location- Paloch Power Plant/ Melut Pumping Station
Qualification- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering ·
Experience- Minimum 8 to 12+ years of relevant experience on large capacity (above 50 MW) engine-based power plant.
