Project Engineer

Do you want to be part of the green transition to fossil-free energy?

Wärtsilä Gas Solutions in Kalmar Sweden, develops and manufactures plants that purify biogas to replace fossil energy in all applications where (fossil) natural gas is used today, both in gas and liquid form (LNG).

 

We also work with development projects in carbon dioxide capture (CCS) and synthetic gas (P2X). Currently the business unit in Kalmar has 46 employees and good market prospects mean we need to grow.

We are a small company within the larger Gas Solutions business area with headquarters in Asker, Norway, which in turn is part of the Wärtsilä corporation with headquarters in Finland.

We now need to further strengthen our team in Kalmar with one project engineer.

 

What will you be doing?

As a project Engineer, you will focus on these activities:

 

  • Implementing product updates and retrofits to existing products throughout the entire lifecycl
  • Keep products and documents within the PLM system up to date and maintain quality
  • Drive open topics to closure
  • Participate in project execution
  • Supporting the entire product lifecycle – sales, engineering, manufacturing, installation, commissioning and aftersales activities – you´ll be involved from a to z.
  • International environment - contacts with both internal and external customers and suppliers
  • Identify customer/country/location specific deviations to typical specifications & requirements

 

You´ll shine in this role if you have several of these competences or experiences:

 

  • General engineering knowledge and interest
  • Willing and open to learn
  • Mechanical engineering from process industry or similar
  • Process equipment (pump, heat exchanger, compressor, regulating valves, gas analysis etc)
  • Basic thermodynamics
  • PED
  • ATEX
  • AutoCAD plant 3D (Navigate and understand)
  • MS Office applications
  • Well organised
  • Fluent in English is required
  • Swedish is preferred
