Based in Taiwan to be part of a local team representing Wärtsilä Defence Solutions to provide client liaison and support for shaft line delivery activities – for both locally and internationally sourced equipment. We are looking for a dynamic, Project Support Specialist with customer-focus within a Maritime environment.
The successful candidate will be employed on a permanent basis and will be based out of our office in Kaohsiung Taiwan.
About the Position:
As a Project Support Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Support the planning, scheduling, documentation and coordination of project activities, ensuring timely and smooth execution (including Indigenous planning for related supplier chain).
- Facilitate communication among project stakeholders to coordinate activities and to maintain project alignment and shared awareness
- Monitor progress and activities, maintain and organize project documentation to support tracking and reporting, including 1) timely making minutes of meeting for related projects 2) cooperation with UK team for related documentation storage properly.
- Enforce policies and procedures to safeguard compliance with regulations and company guidelines, such as health, safety and quality standards.
- Provide administrative and technical assistance and resolve issues arising during project execution by coordinating with the appropriate local stakeholders.
- Identify and suggest process improvements to optimize project supports.
- Ensure both Internal & External customer satisfaction for communication during the project period
- Provides guidance to peers and collaborates effectively with various teams, organizing workload to achieve personal and team objectives.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Degree or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline or relevant experiences
- 3 ~ 5 years working experience in the project management. Experiences in maritime industry will be plus.
- Strong communication skill to directly work with clients, suppliers and internal teams, able to work independently.
- Strong commercial awareness to ensure the successful delivery of projects
- Willing to have a flexibility in time management to work with UK team.
- Customer-centric mindset to make the project progress smoothly as a customer first contact window in project phase.
- Good operational, technical, and administrative knowledge relevant to project support, employing tools and processes effectively
- Proficiency in MS tools.
- Proficiency in English, written and spoken
- Car/Motorcycle driving licence
