We are looking for a Sales Manager, Shaft Line Solutions (SLS) to join our team. The preferred location for the position is Kaohsiung or Taipei in Taiwan. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that we identify and pursue relevant opportunities in your area, enhancing sales of New Build, Upgrades and Retrofit in SLS products, and closing the deals with the customer in Taiwan.
What will you be doing:
As Sales Manager, Shaft Line Solutions your work will focus on following responsibilities:
- Have proactive interfaces with customers to generate leads and sales opportunities.
- Increase market share of SLS portfolio.
- Generate reports and forecasts for order intake in a defined area with active use and discipline in maintaining CRM.
- Update and follow up feedback from customers in defined area.
- Actively engage other (global) functions and team members to capture opportunities.
- Build up and develop the relationship with customers in defined area, including ship owners, ship brokers, ship designers, OEM, Navy, Marine Dept, Coastguard, shipyards, Identify and develop relationships with potential & existing customers.
- Actively engage other (global) functions and team members to capture opportunities.
- Ensure quality of contracts are in line with Wartsila policies.
- Make a communication with customer and provide support for projects in cooperation with Sales Support Team
To be successful in this role, we expect you to:
- BA/BS in Business Management, Sales Management, Business Development Management, Engineering, or equivalent relevant background.
- Min. 3 years of work experience in sales.
- Work experiences in the marine industry would be a plus.
- A good understanding of stakeholders in the sales process.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong customer focus mind-set and capability of building long-term relationships.
- Strong goal oriented, and positive attitude.
- Strong attention to details and ability to take ownership of tasks.
- Encourage the exchange of ideas and collaboration across organizational boundaries.
- Fluent in Mandarin, written and verbal.
- Fluent in English, written and verbal.
- Willing to travel intensively to meet customers.
