Maintenance Manager

Main Responsibilities:
 

  • Responsible for all activities relating to the maintenance management of the power plant, including planning and implementation of plant maintenance to ensure maximum uptime, reliability and zero rework.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all Mechanical and Electrical equipment which include gas engines, steam turbines, WHR Boilers, associated auxiliaries, Generators, HV/MV/LV Switchgear, Power and Aux. Transformers etc.
  • Perform work of high skill in the repair, inspection, testing, adjustment, installation and removal of all mechanical & electrical plant equipment and systems.
  • Supervise the team of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers and Technicians.
  • Implement accurate demand forecasting, regularly audit inventory, utilize ABC analysis to categorize items, manage safety stock levels, and closely monitor inventory turnover, all while aiming to strike a balance between having enough stock to meet demand without overstocking.
  • Accountable for Commercial losses to the customer related to the PPA due to non-compliance with PPA plant maintenance-associated clauses.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance planner for safe execution of the activities.
  • Planning of preventive maintenance.
  • Implement the contract management process and general management practices safely and cost-effectively.
  • Plan improvements for cost reduction in the accomplishment of tasks, tasks aiming at better use of available time and the individual protection of the team.
  • Prepare inspection and service reports within the defined timeline as per contract.
  • Command the team, distribute and control the tasks assigned as well as job orders.
  • Responsible for the implementation of safe working practices.

Qualification and Experience:
 

B.E (Mechanical) / Marine Engineer with First Class Competency Certificate or Equivalent with a minimum of 12 years’ experience in an IPP or a similar industry. Candidates must have experience in maintaining gas engines, steam turbines, air compressors, different types of pumps, cooling towers, heat exchangers, and overhead cranes.
