Job Purpose


Analyze prevailing local & international trade policies, business cost mix, forward business volume and support with clear reporting to enable business to deliver competitive supply. Support to develop suitable business models and forecasts to predict business performance, assess associated risks and mitigation plans.     

 

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Support business planning, budgeting, and cost control activities
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations
  • Assist in working capital management (DPO, Inventory levels) and variance analysis. 
  • Collaborate with supply chain, production and controlling team for optimal cost management 
  • Contribute to compliance activities (tax, import/export, RBI regulations)
  • Analyze commercial terms and contracts for risk and compliance
  • Product costing (Analysing cost variations due to change in occupancy levels/Capacity utilisation)
  • Product Pricing (Volume discounts, rush hour pricing etc.) and analysing Break Even levels 
  • Arriving at optimal product mix after analysing product level profitability 
  • Make vs buy/sub-contract evaluation
  • Evaluating expansion requirements, analyse multiple options and assist in decision making  
  • Mitigating forex exposure created by sale currency vis a vis purchase currency. 
  • Pricing variation linked to public indices in long term agreements (especially for commodity heavy materials e.g. steel, copper etc)
  • Support to drive discount policies, supplier credit management in favour of our business competitiveness
  • Import Export regulations – incentives, sanctions, assessing impacts and mitigations 
  • Tax Regulations – Optimising on tax leakages GST/Income tax
  • Union negotiations – impact evaluation and supporting with salary increase proposals  
  • RBI Regulations – For remittances, exports, invoicing, advance payments, guarantees etc.
