Area Sales manager, Life Cycle, Exhaust Treatment

We are looking for Area Sales manager, Life Cycle, Exhaust Treatment in Japan. This is a permanent opportunity and its location is primarily Kobe or Tokyo, Japan. Successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that we identify and pursue relevant opportunities in your area, enhancing sales of Life Cycle (Service) of the Exhaust Treatment (SOx Scrubber) products and for closing the deals with the customer in Japan.

What will you be doing:
As 
Area Sales manager, Life Cycle, Exhaust Treatment, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop and manage customer relationships in Area
  • Lead sales projects and negotiate contracts for Retrofits, Upgrades, Spare parts supply and Service Agreements in responsible areas
  • Deliver Net Sales, Margin and other relevant metrics in the assigned Area
  • Specify new products, processes, standards based on organization strategy or set short- to mid -term operational plans
  • Create Account plans for area, execute the plan and update changes throughout the year
  • Organise and participate in relevant sales meetings with customers
  • Develop and/or cooperate with contracted agencies to enhance sales
  • Collect and communicate market intelligence and competitor information in dedicated area
  • Ensure that customer inquiries and orders are responded to in a prompt and satisfactory manner
  • Responsible for organizing an efficient and good transfer of all sales projects from sales to project department
  • Manage relationships and co-operation with agents (where applicable)

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

  • Experienced Sales Manager with a proven track record in delivering business results
  • Customer centric mind-set and extensive experience from customer interface related activities Cultural knowledge, understanding of and ability to work with and bridge the gaps between different cultures
  • Negotiation skills, proficient at negotiations, both technically and commercially and able to close deals
  • Presentation skills, ability to adapt the messaging to the audience
  • A team player with a can-do attitude
  • Tolerance to work under stress in a complex business environment
  • Previous experience from Exhaust Treatment business considered an advantage
  • Fluent in English and Japanese (MUST), verbal and writing
  • Relevant academic degree
