Sales manager, Sales Japan, Shaft Line Solutions, Marine Systems

We are looking for Sales manager, Sales Japan, Shaft Line Solutions, Marine Systems in Japan. This is a permanent opportunity and its location is primarily Kobe or Imabari. Successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that we identify and pursue relevant opportunities in your area, enhancing sales of New Build, Upgrades, Retrofit & After Sales  products in Marine Systems and for closing the deals with the customer in Japan.

-Open up new markets for Marine Business

What will you be doing:
As Sales manager, Sales Japan, Shaft Line Solutions, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

  • Generate sales leads from customers in defined area
  • Active in opportunity management in order to meet yearly budget
  • Increase market share of portfolio
  • Generate reports and forecast for order-intake in defines area with active use and discipline in maintaining CRM
  • Overall customer satisfaction
  • Update and follow up feedback from customers in defines area
  • Active use of available sales tools
  • Build up and develop the relationship with customers in defined area, including ship owners, ship brokers, ship designers, OEM, Navy, shipyards ,Identify and develop relationships with potential & existing customers.
  • Actively engage other (global) functions and team members to capture opportunities.
  • Ensure a smooth transfer of contracted opportunities into orders
  • Ensure quality of contracts and in line with Wartsila policies.
  • Customer communication and support for running projects in cooperation with Sales Supporting Team
  • Identify, report and manage potential risks detected in the assigned projects.
  • Business intelligence and knowledge for the Area
  • To support After Sales teams in SU units in order to grow the Spare Parts sales, upgrades & retrofits for all Wartsila Seals & Bearings products
  • Support all product factories to capture monthly OI forecast

  • Familiar with using of Microsoft WORD/ EXCEL/ PPT/ CRM / AUTOCAD / SAP
  • Bilingual in English & Japanese
  • Bachelor and above degrees, major in mechanical or electrical
